Kate undertook her first military engagement when she accompanied William, Colonel of the Guards, to Windsor's Victoria Barracks to meet privately with families of fallen servicemen. She had a bespoke, Alexander McQueen, military-styled coat made for the occasion. It beautifully echoed her husband's navy military overcoat.
