The Cambridge Lover’s Knot Tiara
The Cambridge Lover’s Knot Tiara

The Cambridge Lover's Knot tiara was made iconic by the late Diana, Princess of Wales. However, the piece was created for Queen Mary of Teck in 1914 by Garrard. It is a copy of an almost identical tiara that belonged to Princess Augusta (the then Duchess of Cambridge). The tiara belongs permanently to the Queen. there has been confusion on whether the Queen gifted the tiara to Diana on her marriage or whether it was simply a loan. When the Princess and Charles divorced, she returned it to the Queen.
