William flew to Washington, D.C. on the couple's first full day in New York, to promote United For Wildlife at the World Bank. Kate, meanwhile, joined First Lady of New York City, Chirlane McCray, in Harlem at The Northside Center for Child Development. Kate wrapped presents with staff, chatted with families, and conducted a walkabout outside the center, despite the frozen temperatures. After she left Harlem, Kate attended a lunch reception at the British Consul General's residence where she met with members of the British/creative community in New York.
