William and Kate touched down in Canada's capital of Ottawa to begin their first full tour as a married couple on June 30, 2011. The Queen sent the two to the largest nation in the Commonwealth, and their coast to coast trip was widely hailed a block-buster success. The young royals were welcomed at the airport and then driven directly to the National War Memorial where they paid tribute to the fallen before the official welcoming ceremony at Governor General's residence, Rideau Hall. This was Kate's first appearance in Erdem, a label which has become a staple in the royal wardrobe.
