The Royal Wedding

Kate Middleton married Prince William of Wales at historic Westminster Abbey on Friday, April 29, 2011. Their wedding was broadcast to a broad global audience and included a concert-worthy section of carefully chosen traditional and classical music. The church was decorated in the theme of an English garden wedding, realized by an avenue of 20-foot tall trees stretching along the nave, many from Windsor and other royal estates. Kate's sister Pippa served as the Maid of Honor, while Prince Harry was William's Best Man. Following the wedding, there was a champagne and canapé reception for some 600 dignitaries. That evening, a 300-person reception was thrown at Buckingham Palace, which included dinner, dancing, and reputedly fireworks.
