William, Kate, and Harry visited the Tower of London to view the poppy installation, Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red, where 888,246 were in the process of being installed in the dry moat of the medieval fortress. They met with both artists who created the poppies as well as various representatives of the charities who will benefit from the millions that were being raised from the sale of the flowers. Kate wisely recycled an L.K. Bennett dress that stood out in the sea of red poppies, and she debuted the Empress pendant necklace. This was the Duchess's last official public appearance before she became ill with hyperemesis gravidarum.
