Peter & Autumn Phillip’s 2008 Wedding

Peter Phillips, Princess Anne's son, married Canadian Autumn Kelly on May 17, 2008. The couple wed at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle. The reception following the ceremony was at Frogmore House, a Grade I listed 17th-century home, owned by the Crown Estate. Kate went to the wedding solo, since Prince William was at a wedding in Kenya that weekend. Prince Harry and then-girlfriend Chelsy Davy kept the princess-to-be company. This was the first time Kate met the Queen. According to the engagement interview, Her Majesty approached Kate and the two "had a nice chat." Kate chose an Issa dress with sheer paneling and structured pink jacket. This style was her classic wedding ensemble genre throughout her courtship. Hello! magazine paid (purportedly £500,000) for the photo rights to the wedding, unbeknownst to the majority of the royal family. Their wedding album, filling almost an entire Hello! magazine, was the most sensational exclusive inside a royal family event in many years.
