William and Kate planted an Eastern Hemlock tree, a symbol of undying love, very near the Pin Oak planted on William's 1st birthday by his parents The Prince of Wales and the late Diana, Princess of Wales. The Eastern Hemlock should pay tribute to The Duke and Duchess's love for 800 years. The two visited the Canadian War Museum as their final event in Ottawa before flying to Montréal. Kate switched her silver/grey accessories for black that evening; Montréal is covered in a separate entry.
