The Diamond Jubilee Weekend extended to Tuesday with a service of thanksgiving at St. Paul's Cathedral. The royals then took open carriages back to Buckingham Palace, where they gathered on the balcony for a flyover. Interestingly, the Queen elected to only have the 6 most senior royals join her on the balcony: Charles, Camilla, William, Kate, and Harry. Prince Philip was still suffering from a bladder infection that precluded him from the celebratory events. many believed this was the Queen's signal that the monarchy attempting pair down the ranks of royals who are very active, instead keeping the spotlight on the primary members of the family.
